How is it possible that such a slow relaxed exercise can be called the Supreme Ultimate Fist?  Martial artists usually represent extreme physical power.  They look mean.  Their muscles ripple and gleam.  They move with such speed, their movements appear blurred.  Tai Chi practitioners seem to be the exact opposite of a typical martial artist.  In comparison, they look soft and slow and anything but a martial artist.  Yet Tai Chi’s reputation as a martial art is highly regarded among the greatest kung fu masters of China.

So what makes Tai Chi so special?  How can relaxation be used to improve self defence skills?  How can softness overcome hardness, slowness become speed?  These 2 DVDs will give you the answers to these questions and more.  We will explore the various applications of the Hun Yuan Tai Chi 24 form.  Besides demonstrating the martial applications, we will also explain the pitfalls that practitioners first encounter when they attempt the applications.  You will know then what is needed in order for an application to be effective.  This will help you to understand what to feel in Tai Chi, thus giving greater substance to your form.

The skills presented on these DVDs are universal and they can be applied to all systems of Tai Chi and any martial arts.  Understanding the requirements will give your form substance and help you identify common areas of weakness, such as lack of continuity, not using the waist correctly, not connecting with the legs and lack of spirit in the training.  The applications demonstrated will bring greater enjoyment and insight to the practice of your form.

Note: The DVD is Region Free 0.  It will play in all regions, that is, all DVD players.  It is available in both PAL and NTSC formats.  We will automatically send out the NTSC format for orders from USA and Canada
For orders from other countries, we send out the PAL format unless
          requested otherwise.

See Fa Jin (Explosive Power) demonstration :
The body is generating the explosive sound that you can hear.  Fa Jin is the issue of explosive internal power from the Dan Tian, an energy centre in the abdomen.  For the power to release, the joints need to be relaxed, elastic and open.  It is like the doors and windows in a house being open to let the breeze flow through.  Fa Jin can be trained both stationary and moving.  Training involves individual movements from the form and some special ones to help develop different power.
