Presenter 
The course will be conducted by Fontane Ip, assistant director of the Tai Chi Academy.  Fontane specialises in meditation practice and the integration of its wisdom in daily life.  She has over 20 years of teaching experience in relaxation techniques.

Benefits of Meditation
        Meditation is the way to perfect satisfaction.  Neuroscientists, using brain imaging technology, have confirmed that training in meditation can enhance activity in the areas of the brain associated with happiness and compassion.  When the mind and body are relaxed, endorphins (the body’s natural feel good chemicals) are released, boosting the meditator’s mood.  Meditation has also been proven to enhance the functioning of the immune system.  No wonder meditators are healthier, happier, and have a sense of centredness and well being.

ships, and feel content in their lives. 

          All walks of people, from students to parents to executives to bus drivers, turn to meditation to relieve stress and sharpen their concentration and problem solving abilities.  Meditation trains the mind to be alert and clear, while remaining relaxed.  With practice, your self confidence will naturally improve.

You will begin to see the workings of the mind and learn to integrate a sense of calmness into your daily activities.  This enables you to transform negative situations into positive experiences.
